Fundraiser for Boughton Place: An Evening of Psychodrama

Friday, May 15, 2026
7:30 p.m.
Boughton Place
150 Kisor Road, Highland, NY

Theme: The Garden Within

What have you planted in your garden that you hope will bloom soon? What do you use for compost to enrich growth? What is blooming now? How do you deal with pests and weeds? The garden metaphor helps us explain our roots, our support systems, our joys, our obstacles, and our future hopes and dreams.

Evening of Psychodrama Open Sessions are 2 to 2 1/2 hour psychodrama sessions offered by certified psychodramatists to the general public. No experience necessary. You may participate as little or as much as you want.

Presenter: Judy Swallow, MA, LCAT, TEP

Judy Swallow, MA, LCAT, TEP, lives in the USA and has been a co-director of the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute for more than 40 years. She was a founding member of the original Playback Theatre in 1975 with Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas. She has been a co-director of Community Playback Theatre since 1985. Directions to Boughton Place: DO NOT USE YOUR GPS once you turn south onto Kisor Road as many of them misdirect you. Kisor Road is one street east of the Speedway Gas Station (located on Rt 299 at the corner of New Paltz Road and Rt 299). If you are coming from the east (Highland, Poughkeepsie, Port Ewen), you will turn left onto Kisor.  If you are coming from the west (NYS Thruway, New Paltz), you will turn right onto Kisor. Once you make your turn onto Kisor, Boughton Place is the first driveway on the left. The theater entrance is the first door you come to. Go beyond the building to park and walk back to the entrance.
