Positive Psychology In Action
Positive Psychology In Action
by Dan Tomasulo

Positive psychology, positive psychotherapy, and psychodrama are like three strands of a braided vine. Their combined effect now offers evidence-based interventions for improving communities, organizations, and relationships. The foundation of evidence-based positive interventions, their therapeutic application, and use with psychodramatic methods provide a platform from which this braided vine can flourish.Due to psychodrama’s historical connection to this effort, the method and theory are uniquely positioned to play a central role in cultivating well-being either through therapy or coaching. Here is a brief video on self-compassion that demonstrates integrating basic techniques from psychodrama (Role reversal) and positive psychology (Self compassion).
