Transportation from JFK, LGA & Newark Airports
Renting a Car: If you are going to rent a car, please be aware that rush hour traffic can increase your travel time extensively and you want to avoid being on the road between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm and between 6:00 am and 10:00 am. Parking is available on site.
Public Transportation: There are several ways to get to us from NYC by bus and train.
JFK AND LGA AIRPORTS: There is a shuttle bus that departs from both airports and goes directly to Grand Central Station or you can take an Uber or taxi to Grand Central Station. From there you can take Metro North Hudson Line trains to Poughkeepsie. They run once an hour and more often during rush hour.
JFK AIRPORT: One of the fastest ways to get to Manhattan is by taking the AirTrain from JFK to Jamaica Station, then transferring to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) for a direct ride to Penn Station or Grand Central Terminal. The full trip takes about an hour and usually costs $10–$15, including the AirTrain fare.
Taxi’s are available at the Poughkeepsie train station. Ubers and Lyfts may be available. Boughton Place’s address is 150 Kisor Road, Highland. 1 block East of New Paltz Road. It is a 10-15 minute ride.

NEWARK AIRPORT:
You can get here from Newark Airport by taking Amtrak from Newark Airport to Penn Station in NYC and transferring to a train to Poughkeepsie. You can also take the Newark Airport Express Bus to Port Authority and take a Trailways bus to New Paltz or continue on the Express Bus to Grand Central Station and take the Metro North Train to Poughkeepsie Train Station.
