Moreno built a stage. What he was really building was a mirror.
This workshop returns to the original Moreno stage as a living instrument — and asks what happens when we bring the full weight of contemporary positive psychology into that space. Character strengths research, the Harmony Triad (gratitude, love, and hope), wellbeing science, and embodied spirituality through Sacred Mirror Work™ are not additions to psychodrama. They are psychodrama’s own deepest commitments, finally named.
Designed specifically to combine the latest science of positive psychology with embodied cognition, this program assumes (but is not required) that most attendees will have some understanding of classical techniques and will build from there. We will work on the stage, in the surplus reality, through the mirror — not to learn what psychodrama is, but to discover what it has always been capable of becoming.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Integrate VIA character strengths as the sociometric foundation of group warm-up, enactment, and sharing — replacing pathology-mapping with strengths-mapping as the primary relational currency of the stage
- Apply the Harmony Triad (gratitude/past, love/present, hope/future) as a temporal framework for psychodramatic scene selection, role reversal, and protagonist work
- Facilitate Sacred Mirror Work™ — using the mirror technique not as confrontation but as recognition, systematically creating the conditions for anagnorisis to arrive in the positive direction: not the revelation of what went wrong, but the realization of what remains whole.
- Design and lead axiodramatic enactments that move groups from intellectual understanding of spiritual and ethical values into somatic, enacted wisdom.
