CHILDCARE
We want to support mothers and fathers with young children and we will do everything we can to help you arrange childcare while workshops are in session. Babies in arms can be brought into some of the workshops, at least for part of the day. Private space for breastfeeding and pumping is readily available as are refrigerators for storing milk.
Boughton Place usually has enough space available, both inside and outside, that childcare can be provided right on site by a babysitter or family member you bring with you or by local people we can connect you with (usually the older teenagers or young adult children of people we know or college students). There are also several local day care providers who we know well enough to recommend. None of this can be arranged quickly so the more notice you give us the more likely we can help arrange something. All financial arrangements will be between you and the provider. Most babysitters get around eight to ten dollars an hour up here. We do not know the cost of a half day or full day at a care provider’s home.
