Ancestral Psychodrama:
The Genogram in Action

October 26-28
Saturday  to Monday

Trainer: Judy Swallow, MA, LCAT, TEP
Location: Highland, NY

(overnight accommodations are available)

Psychodrama is a rich and varied modality for personal explorations of many kinds. In this workshop on ancestral psychodrama, participants will learn techniques that facilitate working with family lineage; the recent and past family members who have left their imprint, consciously or unconsciously, on those in the present and the impact of that imprint.  Ancestral psychodrama gives participants a chance to explore the roots of family history and discover familiar patterns of behavior across generations.

Working with family patterns over three generations, participants will learn and practice the use of enhanced and extended role reversal to experience the struggles and triumphs of known and unknown early family members, to bring this awareness into the present with messages given and received, to identify obstacles and supports to growth and change and to practice new and creative ways to take roles in one’s life.
