Evening Psychodrama Group for Personal and Professional Growth ~Begins September 24~ 30 Sessions* The techniques learned in psychodrama training can be used for action interventions in groups and in individual therapy with adults, adolescents and children. As clients move from “talking about” into action, opportunities arise to heal the past, clarify the present and imagine the future. Training is highly experiential and there is a strong focus on group process and on working with the body. STUDENTS LEARN THE METHOD THROUGH PARTICIPATING IN THEIR OWN AND OTHER GROUP MEMBERS’ PSYCHODRAMAS. Fee: $1800 if

REGISTER EARLY TO AVOID BEING CLOSED OUT Pre REQUISITE: 34 hours of Psychodrama Training or permission of trainers The Continuing Education Units provided by these training are accepted toward national credentialing by National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors NAADAC), National Board of Certified Counselors and towards recertification requirements for the National Registry of Group Psychotherapist as well as 90 hours towards certification by the American board of Examiners in Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapy.
Judy Swallow, MA TEP LCAT and Rebecca Walters, MS, TEP, LCAT, LMHC are the co directors of the Hudson Valley Psychodrama Institute, one of the foremost psychodrama training institutes in the United States. They have been co leading therapy groups and training groups since 1987. They were the recipients of the 2005 American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama’s Collaborators’ award. Rebecca Walters has utilized psychodrama with children, adolescents and adults since 1976. She has been at Four Winds Hospital since 1985 and is currently Director of Psychodrama/ Adolescent and Children's Services. Rebecca was an elected member of the Executive Council of the American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama. She is also a Fellow of the A.S.G.P.P. Rebecca is certified as a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner (TEP) by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy. She maintains a private practice in Katonah and New Paltz. Rebecca is a New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Judy Swallow has been in private practice in the Hudson Valley and Westchester for over thirty years. She has been Senior Psychodramatist at Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, New York since 1987. Judy is a Fellow of the American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama. She was the chairperson of the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy and is certified as a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner (TEP) practice in New Paltz and Katonah. Judy is also a certified Rubenfeld Synergy Practitioner and Trainer and is certified in Family Therapy. She is the founder and a director of Community Playback Theater. Judy is a New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
